Friday-happy-juice!

You know what I had for lunch after my run today?! Grilled sandwiches with cherry tomatoes and gorgonzola! Completely unbalanced and un-optimal nutritionwise but sometimes you just need to go with your cravings. Its all about listening to the body in the end.



With them I had this "juice" that was so nice and satisfying. And that went really well with the sandwishes. I mixed a pre bought fresh organic carrot orange juice (from Migros) with 2 green kiwis (they are in season now, good and cheap!), a piece of organic ginger and a splash of lemon juice. 30 second in the blender and DONE.

Yoga is about the love you hold for yourself



I absolutely this quote that is freely translated from yoga instructor Karin Björkgren Jones (for all you swedish speakers, you can find here her: http://yogavita-yogavita.blogspot.com/). I read this headline and was fashionated on how simple yet brilliant it is.


I am just reading thorugh her blog and finding so many wonderful and thoughtful discussions.


Today I am doing a classical Hatha yoga lunch class, my second class for the week. Dont you find it amazing that yoga is so forgiving and even if you take a long break, it encourages you to quickly come back into it as soon as you get started again? For me that is really the evidence that yoga loves you as much as you love it. Its understanding, loving and never judgemental. Yoga and love are so closely connected to me.

Mango rasberry breakfast smoothie

Perfect for a sunday! Simply mix half a mango with some organic yoghurt, a handful of frozen rasberries and 1/2 to 1 banana according to taste. To be enjoyed right away.

Massaged broccoli salad with toasted almonds

Renee Voltaire is a very talented chef focusing on raw food in Sweden. From her latest cookbook En salig blanding (A mix of everything) I got inspired for this recipie for a simple yet delish salad that i served with some marinaded chicken last night.

To make it, just wash some spinach and rocket salad in ice cold water (to make it crispy and fresh). To prepair the broccoli, split it into small boquets and add to a bowl with the juice from half a lemon and a pinch of sea salt. Massage with your fingers until softer. Mix with the green leafs and toss with dressing of choice. I made a simple one with lime juice and zest, some honey, sea salt, black pepper and olive oil. Roast a large handful of almons in a pan until they get some colour. Sprinkle the almonds over the salad and enjoy!

Supergreen morning smoothie

If you enjoy the fresh feeling of starting your day with an orange juice you will certainly enjoy this green smoothie. Simply mix one small orange, half a organic banana (if the fruits have been in the fridge even better), with a large handful of organic spinach and a splash of fresh orange juice. If to zesty for you, add more banana or some honey.

For a true superfood smoothie, add some spirulina too. Personally I am not the biggest fan of the taste but I add it always to the small left oven in my blender and "shot" it before serving the green smoothie.

Thoughts on 2012

New years and new beginnings. This time of year is so special. Filled with expectations, promises, hopes & dreams.

One of my dearest friends Elin once told me "Your only job is to feel as good as you can everyday". I will try to live by this new year. When you feel good you are attracting good and when you try to feel as good as you can everyday you are also seizing the day and living more mindfully.


Never forgett that life is happening here and now and no matter how much money or power you have you can never get a single day from the past back. Live now now now, laugh, love, forgive, be crazy and carpe diem every single day this new year. There are 363 of them still left - make sure that you make them memorabe and feel as good as you can on every single one of them.
