I found this great picture at Raw Clarity today. These are some basic mindful eating guidelines that you will be very happy if you would incorporate into your life at least for one meal per day.
When I lived in Hong Kong last year I took a mindful eating class that taught me so much about this amazing subject. Especially to remember what it is we are actually doing while eating - giving our body new energy. Can be easy to forget when eating in front of your laptop (guilty) or grabbing breakfast on the run.

Hello!
Dear readers. I have been in love with blogs ever since the first time I ever read one. Probably around seven or eight years ago. The form, the fact that anyone has a voice and can create and publish for free. And share it with the world. I must have read more than a million blog posts since then. And written more than a thousand in more than ten different blogs.
In Zurich Zen I am trying to share beautiful and inspirational content with a clear health and happiness focus. Parts of my Zurich life. Reflections. What I cook. How I bake. My home. Gardening. My yoga practice. And all the small things that makes me happy.
I am not sure if there is a proper introduction in this blog but here is a short one: Sara, 29 going on 30 and 13 all at the same time. Lover of yoga, zen living, green smoothies and hiking the swiss alpes. And of champagne, pink peonies and all things beautiful or french.
With Love

Creating Zen mornings
Mornings are for me the best time of my day. Its not for nothing that yogis invented the sun salutation - one should be up to greet the sun. Of course, sleep is vital for good health and I am not compromising on 8 hours of sleep unless I really have to - then again, this is something very individual. But with a set bed time routine, you will find that once you start getting out of bed in good time to prepair your day, its totally adictive. My favorite health blog Healthy Crush, has made a great list of ways to making your mornings more Zen:

Dealing with a rainy Monday
Organic body care products are superiour to the body and our planet in many ways. In Switzerland, you can pick up the organic skin care line Welda in many places, for ex Coop.
Their bath products smells amazing! This one is all lemon-y!

Thoughts on 2012
One of my dearest friends Elin once told me "Your only job is to feel as good as you can everyday". I will try to live by this new year. When you feel good you are attracting good and when you try to feel as good as you can everyday you are also seizing the day and living more mindfully.
Never forgett that life is happening here and now and no matter how much money or power you have you can never get a single day from the past back. Live now now now, laugh, love, forgive, be crazy and carpe diem every single day this new year. There are 363 of them still left - make sure that you make them memorabe and feel as good as you can on every single one of them.
Love, happiness and health

NNTs
Do you guys know of Marie Folero? I simply adore her and her approach.
In the youtube clip below she talks about NNTs, daily non-negotiable activities. For ex. green juices, meditation or similar. I also really enjoyed reading the comments below.
http://marieforleo.com/2011/07/when-you-doubt-everything/
My NNTs are currently:
1. Morning and evening yoga (minimum is one sun salutation on each side, and I do more if I feel like it and nothing more if I dont)
2. Evening meditations from Gabrielle Bernstein
On a weekly level its def. complete sunday grooming incuding body scrub, facial mask and hair mask.

Sunday mornings

Candles, fresh cold air from the balcony. Reading, blogging, foam-bathing, unpacking, drinking yogi tea, booking brunch at Hiltl and dinner planning for the week. I LOVE! And listening to Elin Sigvarsson one of my absolute favorites! Love her album Cookatoe Friends. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TnztynzoPL8

A new chapter and a new blog
I am leaving my amazing adventure in Hong Kong and moving to Zürich.
Oh so sentimental but beyond happy. Hong Kong gave me the time of my life, amazing friends for life, and so much wisdom. Made me grow, laugh and love. However, its time for a new chapter. A new job. A new city. New experiences and moments. And a new blog. Hope to share my journey with focus on yoga, healthy food, hiking, travelling and living here. Love, Sara
